Ataru, ein Lüstling wie er im Buche steht, erwartet ein schlimmer Tag. Aliens landen auf der Erde und haben per Zufallsgenerator entschieden, dass er in einem Kampf die Erde vertreten soll. Verliert er, wird die Erde erobert und alle Erdlinge „entsorgt“.
Klar, dass er keine Lust dazu hat. Jedenfalls bis er feststellt, dass sein Gegner eine Schönheit ist und er gewinnt, wenn er es schafft sie zu begraps... ähm, zu berühren.
Was verrückt klingt, wird noch verrückter und obwohl der Anime schon fast 30 Jahre alt ist, kommt man bei der ersten Folge nur selten aus dem Lachen heraus.
Eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die sich vom Zeichenstil der 80er nicht abschrecken lassen. [TaZ von anisearch]

Es gibt bei den einzelnen Folgen von „Urusei Yatsura“ keinen durchgehenden Handlungsfaden, d.h. jede Geschichte steht mehr oder weniger für sich alleine. Abgesehen davon natürlich, dass am Anfang nach und nach die Hauptpersonen eingeführt werden. Bis zur 21. Folge gibt es übrigens zwei Geschichten je Folge.

Hinweis: Oni sind Figuren aus der japanischen Mythologie. Die Vorstellung reicht von dummen, ogerähnlichen Unholden bis zu abgrundtief bösen Dämonen. Als Lieblingsspiel der Oni gilt das Fangen und so wird auch in dessen japanischer Fassung der Spieler, welcher an der Reihe ist, Oni genannt.
